Add a client from All clients: click Add client, type the business name and click Add. A client counts toward your plan as soon as you add it, whether or not its Instagram is connected.
To connect Instagram, open the client and click Connect Instagram. You sign in with Instagram's own login and approve read-only access, so Beavly can read the numbers but can't post or change anything. It works with Business and Creator accounts, and you don't need a Facebook Page.
Beavly pulls the first numbers as soon as you approve access, so the client page usually has real data when you land on it. If that first pull fails, Beavly tries again on its own within the hour.
All clients shows how many spots you've used, for example "4 of 10 on your plan". At your limit, Beavly asks you to upgrade before you add another client. Upgrades on Billing take effect right away.
To remove a client, hover over its card and click the bin icon, or open the client and choose Delete client from the More options (⋯) menu. This permanently deletes the client, its Instagram connection and every metric and report stored for it. The spot frees up immediately.
Where to find it: All clients in the sidebar. Open a client to connect or reconnect Instagram, or to delete it. Billing shows your usage under Clients used.
Good to know
- You need an active plan or free trial to add clients. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial.
- Personal Instagram accounts can't connect. Switching is free: in the Instagram app, go to Settings > Account type and tools > Switch to professional account.
- An Instagram account belongs to one client at a time. If you connect it from a different client, it moves there along with its history.
- You can't downgrade to a plan that has fewer spots than you have clients. Delete the extra clients first, then switch.
- Beavly renews Instagram access automatically. If access is revoked or expires anyway, the client's card shows "Metrics stopped updating" with a Reconnect Instagram button, and the client appears under Needs attention.
- On iPhone, if connecting jumps to the Instagram app and shows an error, press and hold the button and choose Open in Safari.
- Deleting a client can't be undone.
